Your HYROX time,
before race day
From your running pace and how long each station takes you, you get your estimated finish time, leg by leg, with the race clock at the end of each one. No sign-up and no email.
To calculate, we still need: your running pace, Ski, Sled push, Sled pull, Burpee broad jumps, Row, Farmers carry, Sandbag lunges, Wall balls.
How we calculate it
- Running tired. The eight kilometers come from your pace, each one 1.2% slower than the one before: the eighth is 8.4% slower than the first.
- The stations. Your fresh time, multiplied by 1.08: in a race you reach each one on legs that have just run.
- The transitions. There are sixteen, one before each leg, and the clock never stops in any of them. We count 25 seconds per transition unless you enter another figure.
- The same method as 8Round. It’s how the app works out your predicted time before it has full races of yours, so the website and the app agree.
For the number to mean something
Your station times have to be your own and with your division’s weights: a 152 kg sled doesn’t push like a 102 kg one. And the running pace has to be your race pace: if you enter a fresh-day pace, the total will come out faster than what you’ll do.
Frequently asked questions
How does it predict my HYROX time?
It adds up the sixteen legs of the race and the sixteen transitions. Each kilometer comes from your pace, 1.2% slower than the one before; each station from your fresh time multiplied by 1.08; and each transition from the seconds you enter, 25 unless you change it. It's the same method the 8Round app uses for your predicted time.
What running pace should I enter?
The one you'd hold in a race, on legs loaded from the sled and the lunges, not your rested 10K pace. If you don't know it, start with something a little slower than your easy runs.
Why do I have to enter all eight stations?
Because without one of them the time would be made up. We'd rather tell you which one is missing than fill it with an average that isn't yours.
Does choosing Open or Pro change anything?
Here it only changes the weights shown next to each station. The time comes from what you type, so enter your times with the weights of the division you'll race in.
How much time goes on transitions?
It depends on you, but there are sixteen of them: at 25 seconds each, almost seven minutes on the clock without running or working a station. Try lowering that number and see how much the total changes.
Do you store my data?
No. The math happens in your browser and nothing is sent anywhere. Your browser remembers what you typed so the splits calculator opens already filled in.

8Round does this with your real races
8Round has the whole race inside, with your division’s weights and a clock that never stops. Your predicted time comes from your own races, leg by leg, and with Plus your plan becomes a ghost: the clock shows whether you’re ahead of it or behind.
